Lebanese kibbeh, is one of the historical dishes of the people of sham, dating back to the history of the Assyrian Empire. It is characterized by its circular shape, which was called “kobeto”, which symbolizes everything round or puffy. Here is how to prepare tasty Lebanese kibbeh.
The Ingredients:
Half a kilo of fine groats
One kg minced meat
Four chopped onions
One quarter cup of pine nuts and walnuts
One teaspoon of (salt – black pepper – ginger – cinnamon – Seven spices – paprika)
One quarter cup of pomegranate molasses
One tablespoon of vegetable garnish
How to make the Kibbeh:
Soak the groats in hot water until it covers the surface.
In a pot over the fire, we sauté half a kilogram of minced meat until it changes color, then add half the amount of onions to it.
Add the nuts, salt, pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and 7 spices, then remove from the heat and add the pomegranate molasses. In the Kibbeh, put half a kilo of minced meat.
Add the groats and onions and beat until smooth. We add the spices, shape the dough into balls, and put inside the filling of minced meat and nuts. We put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
In a pot over the fire with a lot of oil, we fry the Kibbeh until we get a golden color… and Enjoy it.
