Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • ⅓ cup yogurt
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano

Steps

  1. In a bowl, whisk together lemon juice, olive oil, tomato paste, vinegar, yogurt, garlic, salt, pepper, sumac, paprika, and oregano to make the marinade.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chicken. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off.
  4. Grill the chicken breasts for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through, with grill marks.
  5. Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sides.
